Technical Scuba Diving Courses
-

Extended Range (45m)
This entry-level course helps recreational divers transition into technical diving, covering new equipment configurations such as twinset or sidemount diving, handling a stage cylinder, buoyancy control and advanced dive planning. On completion, you’ll be certified to dive to 45 metres with limited decompression. This course also includes the option to use trimix for an additional fee.
-

Technical Extended Range (60m)
The Tec XR programme is the natural next step from the Extended Range course, building on the skills already developed to take you down to 60 metres with unlimited decompression time. You’ll learn to make multiple gas switches, dive with two stage cylinders and seriously extend your bottom time.
-

Hypoxic Trimix (100m)
The most advanced technical diving qualification, divers taking the Hypoxic Trimix course will learn how to handle three stage cylinders, work with travel gases and plan dives to depths of up to 100 metres. The course requires mastery of technical skills including perfect buoyancy, stage rotation and team dynamics.
-

Extended Range Cavern
Drawn to the dark? Take your first steps into the wonderful world of cave diving with a course that qualifies you to make penetration dives within the daylight zone. Over four days, you’ll focus on buddy communication skills, gas management and the use of specialised cavern diving equipment.
-

Extended Range Wreck
Explore further than ever before with the Extended Range Wreck course, which certifies divers to enter a sunken vessel up to anywhere within the daylight zone, without the recreational 40-metre linear restrictions. You’ll become proficient in handling lines and reels, tying off safely and perfecting simple navigational practices to ensure safe entry and exits.
-
Technical Wreck
This challenging course hones your skills so you can perfect complex navigational techniques such as jumps, circuits and multiple line laying, deal with minor restrictions and recover lost lights, lines and divers. By the end of the course, you’ll be certified to enter wrecks to any distance using the rule of thirds penetration limit.
-

Technical Sidemount
Already a sidemount diver but keen for more bottom time? The Technical Sidemount course teaches you to manage up to two additional cylinders, enabling you to enjoy longer dives and paving the way for a future in technical diving.
-

Extended Range Foundations
One for perfectionists: this skill-focused course aims to tighten up loose ends and make you the best tec diver you can be. Whatever your setup – CCR, sidemount or twinset – you’ll spend time in-water sharpening buoyancy, communication, trim and fin techniques to become a more confident diver and better dive buddy.
-

Gas Blender
Your gas is your responsibility, so it’s a good idea for any serious diver to know how to blend their own. In this non-diving two-day course, you’ll learn the proper techniques for blending nitrox and helium-based trimix gases, as well as the correct application of maths and physics to do so safely.
-

Technical DPV
Tired of finning? Take a break – and see more – with a certification in DPVs (diving propulsion vehicles). You’ll learn how to safely use these underwater scooters, managing buoyancy, direction and buddy communication to take you further into the blue than ever before.
-

Tec Tune-up
Taken some time out and feeling a little fuzzy on tec techniques? Request a tec tune-up to refresh your memory on specific skills or dive theory to boost your confidence before returning to the water. We’ll tailor the session to focus on whatever you need, whether that’s in-water skills, planning or equipment setup.
